SAKTE SAKTE is a computerised system for the semi-automatic quality control of printed materials. Its main objective is to speed up the quality control process and to make the work of human operators more systematic. The solution is primarily aimed at pharmaceutical companies, cosmetics manufacturers and the food-processing industry, where the numerous standards and regulations (FDA, ISO etc.) require very strict quality control of printed materials, such as instructions for use, labels, adhesive folios or cardboard packages. SAKTE is a system that eliminates problems and errors arising from the monotonous and strenuous nature of manual quality control of printed materials. The efficiency of manual examination entirely depends on the operator’s visual discrimination ability, concentration and language competence, whereby the small print causes further difficulties and the high responsibility puts the operator under additional pressure. The SAKTE system provides a solution to all these problems: it is language and content independent, includes pre-specified task sequences (in accordance with legislation), automatically signals possible errors, facilitates the division of responsibility and enables monitoring of the completed tasks. All these features markedly speed up the entire work process. The solution includes numerous functionalities: global positioning of the printed material, edge tracking, elastic text comparison, independent multi-segment comparison, colour comparison, size comparison and much more.
